No Vacancy is an event series that started in Winter 2016. It is built on a marriage of two intermingled worlds: it is part art show (often with 30+ visual artists) and part music festival. Neither is the backdrop for the other. The event typically takes place in a large alternative space. over the course of one long weekend. Our artists, musicians, and collaborators are thoughtfully curated because we believe our artists are the most revolutionary and important contributors to New York City's young cultural landscape. Community is the most important aspect of our project and we are proud to say we have worked with 70+ artists, 30+ musicians, 5 additional nightlife promoters, and a handful of outside art curators, corporate sponsors, and press outlets.
The exhibition is grassroots by nature, professionally organized ( even with little to no funding ), and ( above all ) coordinated for the sake of art itself. Our audience includes young creatives and professionals, artists and curators, writers and tech nerds, all interested in supporting the emerging arts and the community aspect involved in that. We have at least 1,000 people attending ( each event ) over the weekend.
